Condom Size List

What are vegan condoms and which condoms are vegan?

For something to be "vegan" it needs to avoids animal exploitation and cruelty.

Some latex condoms use casein (a milk protein) in their manufacturing processes, so those condoms wouldn't be considered vegan. There is also the possibility that the condom lubrication has ingredients derived from animals. For example, glycerin, a water-absorbing chemical used in some lubricates, can be derived from either plants or animals. It's also possible that the manufacturing process of the condom uses animal products, so that's something to avoid as well.

All that said, at the end of the day you have to trust someone to say a condom is "vegan". Unless you want to audit large, complex manufacturing and supply chains yourself (unlikely), then you have to trust the condom company or you have to trust a 3rd party which confirms that the company is telling the truth.

The list below are condoms that claim to be "vegan" in their marketing material. Perhaps in the future, I'll break down this list into subcategories 1) Vegan condoms that the company claim are vegan, and 2) vegan condoms verified by a 3rd party company. I will also plan on citing sources for where it says they are vegan. Until then, I'll simply give you a list of condoms that claim one way or another that they are vegan. With that, I think you can be confident that at the very least this means that the condom does not use casein and that the lubricate does not have animal derived ingredients.
